1. Can I claim the donation as a tax deduction?
No. Similar to the big box companies giving a percentage of their sales from you to a local charity, you cannot claim this on your taxes. However, we do offer you the option of choosing your own charity.
2. When does the charity get the donation?
A check will be sent to the charity at the end of the month after you made the purchase. For example, if you purchase a gift on May 15, the check will be sent at the end of June. This allows you the 30-day warranty terms to return the product.
3. Is there a warranty?
We offer a 30-day money back guarantee. The manufacturer may also offer a warranty.
4. What qualifies as a charity?
A charity can be a variety of businesses including churches, schools, non-profits, and fraternal organizations. Helpinggifts.com will make the final decision if an organization qualifies as a charity.
5. What if I designate a charity and Helpinggifts.com does not recognize it? Where does the money go?
Helpinggifts.com will attempt to contact you to select a different charity. If we are unable to reach you, we will randomly select a charity.
6. Can I donate to the same charity as the person who invited me?
Yes. If that is the case, all 5% will go to your charity.
7. What if I was not invited in? Does my charity get the full 5%?
No, your charity will only get 2.5%. If you would like us to invite you in to get the full 5%, please contact us and we will select a random charity to invite you in.©2008 Helping Gifts, all rights reserved. Ecommerce design by Joe Forcash. Visual design by Mike Ward Design.
